INSTALL BORON

Boron installs as a progressive web app. Installing changes nothing about the security model: no history is cached, and rooms still vanish when the last participant leaves.

Android

Open the browser menu and choose Install app or Add to Home screen. The Play Store build is a Trusted Web Activity wrapping this exact verified origin — same code, same crypto, no native chat logic.

iOS & iPadOS

  1. 1. Open this page in Safari — other iOS browsers cannot install web apps.
  2. 2. Tap Share (square with an arrow).
  3. 3. Choose Add to Home Screen, then Add.

Boron then launches full screen from its own icon, with no address bar. iOS clears an unused web app's storage after about seven days — harmless here, because Boron stores nothing between rooms by design.

Desktop

Use the install icon in the address bar to run Boron in its own window.

Offline behaviour

Installing adds an icon and a full-screen window — it does not add an offline cache. Boron stores nothing on the device between rooms, so the app needs a connection every time it opens. With no network you get an offline notice rather than a stale conversation.
